Moving ashore from Ruffles Spray, Ann and I wanted to take the freedom of roaming the sea onto land. We thought that with a motorhome, we could convert our nomadic life on the water and embrace a nomadic lifestyle on the road, allowing us to experience all those beautiful inland places.

In Ruffles Spray, we explored the Mediterranean over sixteen years. With a motorhome, Europe once again becomes our playground. Whether driving along winding mountain roads, camping in the wilderness, or discovering hidden gems off the beaten path, these will once again give us both a sense of adventure to explore the unknown.

I must admit that on occasion, cruising in a sailing yacht was somewhat stressful, with keeping an eye on weather forecasts, watching the sea and wind conditions and sometimes hoping there would be room at the in at marinas when a storm was forecast we hope that travelling in a motorhome will provide a much-needed escape from the stresses of life on the ocean wave. As we hit the road, no more worries about that; instead, we can focus on enjoying the journey, taking in the scenic views, and embracing a slower pace of life again. The freedom and simplicity of motorhome travel we have been promised will be incredibly rejuvenating and help recharge us physically and mentally.
5. Flexibility
Unlike on Ruffles Spray, one of the biggest advantages of travelling in a motorhome is the motorhome’s flexibility. We can change our itinerary on a whim, explore off-the-beaten-path destinations, and stay as long as we want in each place, as the sea and the weather always try to catch you out. The wind blowing up in what seemed like a safe anchorage or a hailstorm coming out of nowhere. With a motorhome, none of this will be relevant; we can go wherever our heart desires.
6. Enjoy the Journey
Finally, one thing we have to concentrate on is remembering to enjoy the journey. We must Travel at our own pace. Taking the time to travel at our own pace, choose scenic routes, stop at roadside attractions, and soak in the beauty of nature. We plan to embrace the spontaneity and unpredictability of motorhome travel and let it be a source of joy and adventure.
